ZorroX said: ^^ Actually no, http://vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=90950 We're only bringing this up because it looks like the losses are gong to disappear shortly. Sony Chief Financial Officer Nobuyuki Oneda told a press conference in Tokyo today that Sony has managed to get its PS3 losses down to somewhere between 10% and 20% of the system's retail price. It expects that figure to fall into the single digits before the end of the year, then turn into a profit some time during the next fiscal year. |
exactly and sony can do a lot with that money
(I predict)
one thing is advertise properly. i know scea has already started (but elsewhere).
the console is going to get a wider range of games while maintaining its hardcore appealing to more people (motion controller)
this will effect the wii greatly
between the motion controllers release in march and natals release in fall 2010 the ps3 will be trying to dominate.
if it suceeds it will push the 360 out and may even take 1st place by 2012-13. if it fails the gap between ps3 and 360 will be very close for the rest of the generation.
