You know, I'm a fan of the sphere grid and all... but I prefer characters with unique skills. It gives you a reason to try all the characters out.

When I was done playing FFX, everyone was absolutely the same except for the Overdrives and Yuna's Summons. Not fun.

Did you do a lot of grinding? I like characters with unique skills as well and that was part of the reason I liked the Sphere Grid so much. The only character that didn't have a unique section of the sphere grid was Kihmari. Even after major grinding, I only managed to run my characters through two sections of the grid. That was after I had beaten the game and went back to do some of the extra side quests. Part of the reason, I hate FFVII so much is the lack of unique character skill sets due to materia. The Sphere Grid preserves character individuality for the most part. I just hope this Crystalium Growth System has more variety than the license board in FFXII, by the time you get half way through FFXII your characters become identical.

Yes I did. A lot. I do it with almost every JRPG I touch.

I grinded so much that even Lulu was doing 99999... with physical damage. No reason to use magic at all.

So to a gamer like me, all the characters become the same in the end (much like FFVII, VIII and XII). It's not that I don't like that, but I enjoy something like IX or IV (or of course, Chrono Trigger) better. Cuz if the game allows me to max out everyone, that's probably what I'm gonna do.
