My PS3 just got the YLOD...

It does not. I have fixed a few. The HDD is married to the consoles individual motherboard. If you move it to another system it will have to reformatthe HDD. If you fix the YLOD you keep all your saves.

Im holding it right now ready and willing to tear it apart.

Maybe it died because you never loved it1!!!!!!!
