I would enjoy it a lot more...
Most of the discussions would be about marketing and analyzing demographics of console owners and demographics in different regions.
Discussions would be about the economics of the industry. Who has the better business model, and what can struggling companies do to be better, and what can the companies with the stronger market share do to maintain and expand their market?
People would actually post in the sales of the day forum posts etc. The forum in general would be better informed on the industry and , and also not forget news articles from the passed or reiterate old and long disproved arguments.
Fanboys make arguments personal when they don't have to be.
