My parents ended up with around 12, my oldest brother was around 6, and my other brother was about 60. I don't know if it is common elsewhere, but around here most of the older kids tend to skip side-streets because they don't think they can get as much candy and they can cover more teritory on the main streets. An interesting side effect of this is that most of the people I know on side streets tend to buy better candy and give out more per trick-or-treater because they get so few; and who wants to have a ton of candy left over that they don't like?
