Any person/professor etc. can back up opinions, theories, and ideologies with half-truths and spin of historical records.  Hell, it sounds like  I could defend the Holocaust with some simple word play, and probably get you to believe it if I was your professor.  You do know our(the U.S.) government doesn't control people and the media right?  Why do you think there is always an outcry against the government?  That's why we have elections, if we don't like the direction of the government we change it during the next election.

Just to let you know, these "policies and dictators" we set up during the cold war, was to keep Russia and communism in check and vise versa with the USSR.  The U.S. and USSR would fund whatever war or government that was opposed to the other during this time to fight each other indirectly.  If we were all pacifists over here, half if not more of the world would be communist and Russia would of had a much greater influence than us at this time.  Russia probably would have invaded A LOT of countries and set up their empire, after the wreckage of WWII, when the U.S. and USSR emerged as world powers.  Yeah it would have been great if we could of held hands and sung songs of peace, but that is not the way the world works.

I'm done with you and this thread, it's pointless to refute someone's ill-founded thought process, when they are unable to adapt, but only follow.

Please, try to make the Holocaust sound good. Please, try. Your words mean little when you don't back them up. When you don't like your govenrment you do elections? How do you think you get elected? By setting up campaigns and using THE MEDIA. You say I have an ill-founded though of process yet yours is ludicrous and you back nothing up. Have fun promoting a war without using the media by the way. You need an excuse to invade countries. 9/11 is the perfect example for that(And no I'm not saying the American government caused 9/11, that's highly unlikely)

 

And these "policies and supporting dictators" were mostly(not always) to keep communism in check yes. That doesn't mean however that they did the right thing. Machiavellianism is the perfect word to describe you.

 

@Hunter: Why should I care that it was intended to be the perfect ruling form? The truth is, it's a horrible ruling form and there never will be a perfect ruling form. Democracy is a bad ruling form, but do you know a better one? Although one could argue that communism is a form of democracy(DDR is the perfect example)
