I must say that playing the game on PC made it much more enjoyable. Easier to aim, easier to run, and higher framerate, resolution and texture resolution. I played it extensively on Xbox and briefly on PS3, and I could never quite get the flow up. Especially on PS3, where you use the sixaxis to keep your balance from time to time.
That said, I agree with most of the points in the OP. The art direction alone would make the game awesome.
And there really is too much bloom.
