Believe it or not yes, they are known to damage discs but i'm also talking about discs in general, most of my discs end up getting damaged if i forget to put them back in the case or they fall on the floor, even when I clean them I sometimes end up marking them, my retail COD 4 disc no longer even loads as it is marked badly, if i want a replacement from MS it will cost me £22.50 if i send the damaged one back!

And yeah, I know a LOT of people only flash 360's to play pirate games but there are also a lot of people that do only flash them to play backups of games they actually own, look on xbox-scene for example, they don't allow any talk of piracy and 80% of members there only flash their 360's for LEGAL purposes, hard to believe I know but it does happen!

What?  Stop lying.  I was willing to entertain that you could possibly be telling the truth in your previous post but now you're just majorly stretching the truth.

The 360 *can* damage discs if you move the console while the disc is in the drive.  So unless you turn your 360 on and then just start carrying it around the house in which case you're an idiot (which I don't think you are), I just don't believe you.

Sorry, but you again fit into the bullshit artist pirate.  You can rant and rant how you're an honest pirate and just playing back ups because somehow your 360 and all your friends 360's break discs like crazy but I just won't believe you.

LMAO, when did I say I was an "honest" pirate? I didn't, I have made it clear that I do play many games I have downloaded and I do still also buy a few retail games from stores, I have nothing at all to hide, if i like a game i have downloaded a lot i will go and buy it just like i did with grid, dirt 2, forza 3, cod 4 etc, if not i won't, simple.

And for the record twesterm go take a look on xbox-scene then come back and tell me people don't flash 360's for legal reasons too, hope you like humble pie......

 

And yup, none of my consoles are STILL not banned lol, one of my customers (flashed consoles) has emailed me to let me know they were banned on Friday, only one out of a LOT, and for the record this ban wave is now over, one more to come in November then that's it again until next year, same thing every year, people that do get banned can easily get another 360 and be back up and running on live with a flashed drive within an hour lol, it's ms that loses out during these ban waves, people on certain other sites just laugh at them.

 

Also, a little count a few of the members on a couple of sites have been doing over the weekend:

Counted members with flashed drives + on live - 77,042

Member confirmed banned since 29th October 2009 - 437

*figures above are people that took part in the polls across three sites.

 

Obviously this is only the tip of the ice ber but you can see it really isn't affecting any pirates out there and never will......


Judging by these numbers I think its safe to say that this is big problem and only getting bigger. I am guessing theres atleast 2 million modded 360s out there. I know alot of stores that flash 360s and have their own site. Many people I know don't get banned if they are careful and these sprees just take out the careless modders that usually just sell their banned 360s and get a new one.
