I never liked 8v8 CoD4 for the most part. 8v8 is CS IMO, for CoD4 is was just a tad boring. 12v12 was OK, 16v16 was probably best on most maps. Part of the problem was at 8v8, you get 3 ppl leave in a short period it can get pretty unbalanced or server starts dying off. Ofc depends, sometimes it would fill back up quick.. but its a lot less stable playerwise. on a 32 man , people always come and go and you never even notice.
