How many people were calling for Bush to be assasinated? If so, I would also expect them to be prosecuted. If somebody was calling for the murder of a neo-nazi I would still expect them to be prosecuted. (not a comparison of Bush to a neo-nazi by the way, simply saying that it isn't acceptable to call for the murder of anyone). I called George Bush a moron, it's okay if you call Obama a moron. I never called for George Bush to be killed, it's not okay if somebody calls for Obama to be killed. Inciting violence is (at least in NZ) against the law for good reason. |
Maybe you should check google, there are only 2 Million + hits for "Assinate George Bush", and 27+ Million for "Assinate Bush" ...
Very rarely did anyone show "outrage" over these comments, primarily because supporters of the Republican party are used to irrational anger manifesting itself in outrageous comments from the extreme elements of the political left. You can see the difference in how the media portrays these events, where when Bush is made to look like the Joker or Hitler the media presents it as someone's depiction of Bush whereas when Obama is presented as the Joker or Hitler the media will say things like "do you know how offensive that is?"
Even the talk about George Bush being guilty of "War Crimes" is 100% partisan; because the Democrat controlled congress didn't have a problem with the war, could have prevented it if they choose to, and are as responsible for the war in Iraq as George W Bush was.
