thing is, you can't just copy hardware, its software that really helps Nintendo disruptions shine, Sony and MS will have a hard time copying that, you could make a Sony wand, but will it really have something to compete with Wii sports and Wii sports resort, will NATAL be able to compete with Wii fit.
True, a good system with good games is key, and Nintendo will do that, but a good way to really rock your opponent back on their heels is to get the drop on them with something that they aren't able to counter, and that brings in new people and people who have left
