The core Nintendo games are still there, their lineup is just being augmented by other genres now as well. All the epic games that were profitable before, are still profitable, and will still be made at the same rate as before. Once the market adjusts all these low-budget games will get flooded so that none will profit on average any more than the epic games anyway. With new gamers and more money in the industry, the new games are being made in addition to the old ones, not instead of them.
