I guess he's used to playing RPG's that last 100+ hours or something. I don't know where you got the 11 hours number (I guess that was your playthrough) either. I'm at 12 hours and still playing over the missions again. For a shooting game that's a great length. Too much longer and it would start to get repetitive and boring so I totally disagree with the length thing.
