I don't see how that actually proves the United States didn't free them.
They scripted the event. That doesn't mean that the majority of people weren't happy to be rid of a violent dictator who murdered people indiscriminatly was deposed.
You can argue stuff was done by TV. But all non-biased polls tend to show the same thing.
Happy at first, then less then happy with the results,(due to dumbass planning) now somewhat more happy and ready to move on.
Besides, it's obvious you would NEED to script such an event. I mean it'd be irresponsible and unsafe otherwise.
