I wouldn't really call keeping the console on the market "support". Sony really just lets third parties run amok on the console and they port whatever applicable PSP games they can for some quick bucks. Most of the ports are sloppily done and many times lack the features in the PSP versions. It's nice to see the PS2 still kicking, but Sony hasn't really "supported" the console since they released God of War II.
