they are not complaining about what the graphics look like more than that they've been underwhelmed and overhyped because of the concept art.

The graphics in the game aren't bad, but people become very upset becomes it doesn't match up with what it was shown to be. It's about a perceived sense of deception, rather than perceived lack of quality.

But isn't it their own fault? Did anyone in their right mind actually think that one Disney would let those images become reality, and that two, that the Wii was capable of such things? No one deceived them, they just let their hopes get ahead of what any rational thought would have told them is not going to happen.

It's not anyone's fault, I don't understand why you are trying to point fingers. It is what happened. It is not a devs fault for making something look amazing, but they should be aware of the effects by now, after countless fanboy rages.
