New to the market means little. The PS1 was new to the market.

Sony's success did not stem solely from Nintendo's blunders. One could make the same argument this gen, Sony's fail allowed Nintendo back on top (to the extent they are).

Praise where praise is due.

New to the market means a lot. The reason why playstation 1 was a succes is because of Nintendo's mistakes anyway.

 

I'm just saying it means little to compare one of Nintendo's worst consoles released and a totally new console vs an already very famous and popular brand.
