It's because it's untrue. You seriously believe the American government? They lie all the time. I'm not even going to talk about that Nobel prize of peace(with that I mean what the hell has Obama actually achieved so far? He wants a lot of change which is good, but he hasn't achieved a lot yet).
By the way can you believe that the newest south park episode actually goes about this subject? You should watch it, one of the best episodes I've ever seen of south park(And even that episode said atom bombs ruined a lot of lives long after the bombs were dropped) .
Ps: I actually study history at a university(That doesn't mean I know history better then you as you seem to have a lot of knowledge about it), and my syllabus(idk if this is an English word) of the course "history of the 20th century" actually says totally different things then that dubious article. Syllabus was written this year, so I don't think it's out of date :) And I don't think they teach me things that aren't true ;) I don't want to believe it because I have sources that tell me otherwise.
