Odd bit of juggling, but good to know that eventually it works.
Good since a student in my class was asking about Win 7 but he's currently using 32bit and wants to switch to 64bit to allot more memory for Maya.
So you have to burn an ISO onto DVD, install off that, leave the product key blank, start over again with a clean reformat/install and then it works.
