Yeah right. By the time my Live subscription is over I'll have probably 200 games between XBLA and 360 disc based games. I'm already paying under $30 a year for Live so It's not a huge deal for me. I would never switch to a PS3 just for free online play when I've already invested so much on the 360.

Next generation on the other hand maybe. Microsoft is going to have to convince me to keep paying for XBLA in a few years when the PSN is getting more and more features. Makes me wonder how long they'll stay free though.

As for Microsoft to stop charging for XBL, that's not gonna happen as long as subscriptions continue to rise which they are doing. Maybe a price cut to $40 a year or something.

Under 30$ a year? How do you do it? Where do you buy it from?

Buy.com had memberships for $28 shipped just before the new Avatar cards came out. So they were the old style bubble packaged ones. Anyways there was no limit so I picked up 3. Amazon and Toysrus.com also had them for $30 multiple times in the last year. Whenever there is a sale for under $30 I jump on it as you can stack your membership for atleast 3+ years.

It's just that simple.
