But is that 1M just retail or does it include steam and DD and others?

It just seems awfully small to me.

 

The proof for it to be a wierd number? 200,000 online petition, this would mean a 20% of buyers of the first game still active enough to sign an online petition for the sequel....

that's much larger than the L4D petition and that one encompassed 360&PC for much more users.

Not everyone that signed the petition might be a legit CoD4 owner. Infinity Ward already reported more people were playing a pirated version than a retail one...
