Has Microsoft Earned Your Respect?

No infact Microsoft has hurt my respect.

On the X-Box I loved playing Halo and Halo2 , Blinx and all the other games that adorned it. Sure I being a Nintendo fanboy never picked up an X-Box but I loved playing my foster brothers. The games were fun and the hardware was built like a tank. Microsoft really gained alot of my respect which up untill X-Box was limited to only Nintendo.

Microsoft gained my respect to the point that when Shigeru Miyamoto and Saturo Iwata announced that Nintendo was no longer competing with Microsoft or Sony. I rushed to the stores to pick up my 360 Elite. But only two years in all my friends consoles had red ringed then it finally happened to me. I got the red ring of death. I then spent 6-weeks trying to get Microsoft to fix it, finally it got fixed. I turn on the console and play ODST the first week I get the console back. Then what the heck the console started freezing during ODST and Halo3. I call Microsoft up and the lady tells me its a software problem. She's like "Your consoles fine the software your playing is just bad, were getting lots of reports of freezing". So Microsoft refused to take my X-Box back. Then about a week ago Microsoft gives me a call, this time its Microsoft Game Studios " we heard you had a problem with some of our software, was the problem resolved". I then told him "No my console keeps freezing during Halo3 and ODST, he then replies "Sir that is a hardware problem give our hardware division a call at such and such, they'll be happy to fix the console for you". So I pick up the phone and call Microsoft Canada again, but nope they say its a software problem and still refuse to fix my console.

 

So I'm stuck with a freezing console and or bad software. Both products of Microsoft. My respect for the company has plummeted. If they just fixed their dang hardware and made good software then we wouldn't be in this mess. To be honest I'm really upset at Microsoft's poor service. I have had friends accidently drop their DS's in water and Nintendo replaced them free of charge. or a dead pixel is found of a PSP/DS Nintendo/Sony replace them and fix the problem. But Microsoft has RROD and rather then fixing the problem they keep shipping out crappy hardware that is prone to breaking down!

Next generation I'm buying a five year warranty from FutureShop or not buying another X-Box product ever again. I just don't trust the company anymore. I love the games but Microsoft as a company fails!
