why does Tekken 6 look so bad?

It's their choice in art style, as well as the fact that the game is pretty old. I haven't played Tekken since part 4. I'll pick it up in about 5-6 months, if for no other reason than to have a "pure" fighting game in my library. I hate Virtua Fighter.
