Yeah but the core demographic of ps3 owners, for example, is age 30. 30 year olds actually experienced mickey. We've seen mickey in black and white, played it on the NES, and been around to see most of the disney movies in theaters.
I haven't seen a mickey movie come out in theaters in many years. why would an HD demographic be wrong?

I think the demographic explains a lot, but BMaker is right, Mickey=/= casual imo

EDIT: hmm, although wii=/= casual either....o well there's a point in there somewhere.

Just as many people in the 18-32 year old crowd own a Wii as a PS3.  In fact, probably more.  This common misconception that just because a game is made for thew Wii that it is either targeting kids or NOT targeting older gamers is completely false.  The simple fact is, if this game came out on an HD system, it would more likely have to forcus on a smaller market that was ONLY between the age of 14-32 (more like 14-25).  Whereas on the Wii, they can target gamers of any age group.  The same cannot be said on the HD systems.

but again, many have claimed that it is much more difficult to predict success on the wii.

So even with a larger install base, they may have no idea who will actually buy the game, whereas the hd twins are more reliable.
