PRESS RELEASE:

LONDON – 28 October 2009 - Fast-paced thrills meet street-styled fashion as PUMA and Xbox collaborate to celebrate the launch of the video-game Forza Motorsport 3, with the limited-edition Speed Cat 2.9 FM3 trainer.

Inspired by the pace-setter of the racing game genre and based on a classic PUMA silhouette, the Speed Cat 2.9 FM3 takes a host of recognisable motorsport details of the past and adds a modern twist, creating a striking sneaker that will put you in pole position whether you're behind the wheel or on the street.

Perfect for gamers, race fans and sneaker-heads alike, the FM3 features a full grain leather upper, mesh detailing, Forza Motorsport 3 embroidered tongue and a mid-cut lacing closure system for added comfort and stability. The rubber outsole is inspired by real motorsport tyres and features tread detailing for superior grip, an abrasion resistant finish and a rounded cylindrical heel, allowing for a full range of motion on the pedals, making those high speed manoeuvres that bit easier.

Rendered in eye-catching Cool Grey and striking PUMA Red, inspired by the Forza Motorsport 3 video-game branding, PUMA will release only 324 pairs of the Speed Cat 2.9 FM3, available in at the London Carnaby and London Westfield PUMA stores.

The Speed Cat 2.9 FM3 is available from 26th October 2009, RRP £65. Sizes range from UK 6.5 to 11.
