Just finished Arkham Asylum last night and I thought it was a really well done game.  It takes a lot of elements and combines them in a way that makes the game continuously seem fresh.  I found that as I was playing it kept reminding me of the first time I played Metroid Prime.

There's combat, but it's not a major focal point of the game.  A lot of the game is set up around exploration of a world that is drenched in atmosphere.  Also, the slow accumulation of gadgets and weapons that allow access to previously explored areas reminded me a lot of the way Metroid would trickle in advancements.  Detective mode reminded me of the scan visor, although detective mode was waaaaay more fun than using Metroid's scan mode.  The riddler trophies were like getting all the missile ammo upgrades in Prime, not totally necessary, but nice for completionists.

My biggest let down in Batman:AA were the boss battles.  A few of them were good, but overall I felt they lacked in variety.

Did anyone else think of Prime during this game?
