Ejem ejem .....European Union doesnt have 810 million people but 450.By the way ,the market is extremely small in the East Europe for now and those countries are 170 million people .The bulk of the european market is the Europe of the 12 ,core of the EU ,and countries as UK ,Germany ,France ,Spain and Italy ...then other small markets as Greece ,Portugal ,Austria ,Holland,Switzerland and Denmark add their numbers but for about 10% all toghether .....THe european market is as big as the NA one in hardware sales ,software wise it is another story as the piratery is way more spread and the games are more expensive (games here for the Xbox and Cube and PS2 have been all the last generation 60 euros ...thats some 72 dollars ) .To give you an example my country has 41 million people and the PS2 has sold some 4.5 million consoles here and the PSP and DS are exceeding 1 million and 1.5 million respectively right now .
The consoles has been awaite anxiously in Europe ,ther may be scalpers but to pretend those are the bulk of the buyers or even a significant amount is ridiculous .
When did I say EU?? I said Europe. That includes many other countries not part of EU, as does the counts in my message. My point still stands.
Logic clearly dictates that if ALL 3 game console makers send their products to Europeans last, sometimes years later in the past. That MUST mean they are a market that is not as important. smaller. worth less. get my point.
