Just recently my PS2 started acting weird. When I play Persona 4 the game freezes up a little then starts acting fine. This happens only when I start playing. As I continue playing, everything goes smoothly. Though today I used an item later on and it froze on me for a little bit then everything went smoothly from there.

Then there's this weird noise but it doesn't come from my PS2, but my TV. When I plug in the yellow AV cable wire, the TV makes a buzzing sound. But later on it stops making it, or it quiets down a lot. WTF? The game loads fine and my PS2 is relatively quiet. But these two weird things now happen when they never happened before. My PS2 model is a 7000 (or is it 70000? You guys should know what I mean) and Persona 4 just came out last year so it might just be the game acting up on an older PS2 model but I wanna know what everyone thinks.

I haven't played my PS2 for 60 total hours yet since I got it back from repairs and I always give it a good rest after 3 or 4 MAX hours of play. Sometimes I just unplug it and let it rest on a cooler surface in my room to let it cool off faster. If this is a PS2 problem, Sony's service officially sucks. If not, well that's good. My PS2 is still in warranty for a couple more weeks though so if anything bad happens soon I'm covered.

I'm not sure if I have this problem with any of the other PS2 games I have though so it might just be the game.

Edit: Weird stuff started a few days ago, not today.

Edit 2: Oh, and if I unplug the yellow cable, it stops making the buzz noise completely but then I lost my image. But like I said it only occurs for a while.

I had a similar problem with my ps3 when I started playing that.

By any chance does your ps3 power cord have three prongs?

And does your tv have a 3 pronged power cord as well?
