Tell me, what are his standout games on other platforms, that compete with the Solid Series on PlayStation? Did his presence on other platforms impact like they did on the PlyaStation? If you know the answers to those questions, then you should know the answer to your initial question.

Just because it had a bigger impact on Playstation doesn't mean that MGS was never on any other platform. To be honest if you had to have a franchise for PS it would be GOW. I personally haven't played it. But I don't think you can define the PS brand with one franchise. Like halo and mario. When I think of either Xbox or Nintendo both of those are the first games that come to mind. So if someone who has no PS console would like to tell me what franchise/character do you associate with PS?
How many sales has MGS1 and MGS2 had? Or is the database complete for those games?

I never said it wasn't. But when people think Solid Snake, they think PlayStation. That is the point.
God of War isn't as legendary as Snake or Metal Gear Solid. Sales aren't important here either. Also, I'm not trying to define the PlayStation by one franchise. Basically, you misunderstood a lot.

Yea I really do think I misunderstood you when you said "Snake is THE PlayStation legend though........" I took that as you meaning he is what defines PS as Masterchief is to xbox and Mario is to nintendo.
