Gaming - Eminem Supports PS3 - View Post

Hip Hop and Gaming Industry Compared

PS Consoles= Jay-Z(Early 2000 era), Controlled the game, biggest name in the industry, everyone loves him for 2 awesome classics Reasonable Doubt and Blueprint (PS1 and PS2) then he releases the Blueprint 2, and everyone hates it. He gets a lot of flak for it.

PS Brand= Jay-Z

Nintendo Consoles= Nas, was the pioneer and probably the oldest New York emcee thats still relevant Was said to be the best thing in Hip Hop with illmatic and It was Written(NES and SNES). Fucked up for a few albums and was considered dead (N64 and Gamecube). When Jay(Sony) started talking smack Nas came back HARD with Stillmatic(Wii) and hasn't lost a step since. Always bringing a new experience

Nintendo Brand= Nas

Microsoft Consoles= Lil Wayne. Upstart been around in the industry for a while (PC Gaming) never made a real huge splash until he released The Carter (Xbox) showing his potential. He later went on to make a hit that everyone considers his best album The Carter 2 (Xbox 360).

Xbox Brand=Young Money Ent, Trying to change the way we think about the industry. Not a lot of people like it but there are Tons of people who support it

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi
