My mate was working out how much he had spent on instruments, etc. over the years, and his total came to £8,660 - but his justification was that I probably spent as much on games, I doubted that so I went about totalling up. I got bored after doing my PS3, and It'd be nigh on impossible for me to do older consoles and stuff as there was loads of gifts, and I wasn't aware of prices, etc.

So, not a fraction of my mate's music costs, but still a considerable figure. I'm guessing if I included things like TVs, other consoles, my computers + upgrades, etc - the number will definitely get much closer.
Just wondering what other people's totals are like - I know there are some big-arses collectors here (not saying that collectors have big arses - though, there probably is a correlation), and I was interested in knowing how much your hobby has gutted from your wallet.
