^Sure it will, because the companies will release more expensive and niche consoles and games, and drive more customers away, and eventually prices will overtop revenues to the point where companies go bankrupt.
Without Nintendo neither SOny or MS would have cut prices as fast, or tried to reach out to the wider audience, you'd be left with fewer consoles in the market than now and more niche games, and less sales. Costs would continue to rise over the years and with lower sales and revenues companies would go bankrupt left and right as their losses mounted, and you'd be faced with another Industry crash, and even worse one, since Nintendo wouldn't be around to pick up the pieces.
