I mean unless you have a developer that has just an undeniable reputation (Kojima Studios, Valve, Miyamoto's team) then you are going to have the publisher have most of the final say... even with those I just mentioned to a smaller extent.
So it's nice to see IW is getting a good relationship with Activision where they have a lot of trust in their judgment but a little overstated that I'm sure Activision still had a lot of say in the project. |

I doubt after a couple of good games you can get the reputation of those studios who have just been solid for a very long time. But I'm sure they are getting quite a few benefits considering the past successes of their franchise. We'll know how much freedom they get if they are allowed to expand outside of COD after this game.
