Really, I think you underestimate the power of an exclusive title. Almost everyone I know bought their consoles because of a title they wanted to play. Of my friends, Gears and Halo were the primary drives behind 360 purchases; SingStar (sadly), Killzone2, MGS4, and LBP were behind most Ps3 purchase; and, almost universally, Wii Fit was behind any Wii purchases.
The power of the exclusives, even years after release, should not be ignored.
