... Or the novelty suddenly fading? I think its the latter.

E3 2006:

And so the Wii revolutionized gaming with its motion and pointer controls.

core gamers especially Ninty hardcore fans:

WOOOOH! Motion controls! TAKE THAT, MS AND SONY! Now we can play swordfighting games realistically and we have accurate pointer FPS controls!

3 years later:

After numerous ports, spin offs, casual agmes and shovelwares.

Wii fans:

Funny post asides, I really think motion controls isnt even the selling point of the Wii, its the casual fare of it. If you think that way, will you want Batman Arkham Asylum to have controls instead of button bashing to be waggle? Even the pointer controls even how much gamers praised it didnt work as exactly as it should. Not to mention you have to atleast have a distance for the pointer to work. Its not you can control the menus in the back of the TV. I've played numerous FPS on the Wii yeah the controls were good but after awhile the novelty wears off. its the same as other FPS in PCs and HD consoles only with different control scheme.

And now MS and SONY wants to steal the Nintendo's fanbase, by what? by makling their consoles as more casual than the Wii? Now that theres project Natal what gamers will think of it? If MS DID make a controller on the Natal with AGAIN, pointer controls then it ruins the point of Natal. Controller free gaming remember? And now because of SONY dont want to have a lawsuit by Nintendo they made a wiimote spin off without a nunchuck instead. And now you will play RE5 with the wand in one hand while the dualshock 3 in another. What a hassle...

So is it worth it?

end of core gaming days prediction:

E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced

E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.
