@john: Well, because EVEN after DQX was announced, third parties are not willing to support the Wii. That list clearly shows which console they think is the way to go. Look at the names on that list, where are most of the biggest brands going?

What makes you believe that contrary to most third party games, the Wii was going to be chosen? Look at it again, Wii had the biggest 3rd party IP announced for itself and it has a 5 million lead over the PS3, and not even then 3rd party developers are willing to develop for it. Most of the home console games are heading to the PS3. If Nintendo hadn't moneyhatted (IMO again) the game wouldn't have ended on the Wii going by recent trends. SE seems to be focusing a lot more on the handhelds and HD systems and relegating the Wii.

It's also weird that the only thing they announced since the Wii laucnh was their biggest IP and then nothing else. Did you ever wonder why?

tres unless you're gonna sit here and tell me that square isn't going to try to make the biggest profit, then you're gonna have to explain to me why last year SE would have believed they would make more money on PS3.  The rest is all jibberish, the other 3rd party IPs are not DQ.  They do not have the power that DQ has to move units.  low-mid ranged 3rd party games haven't always faired well on wii, but a game like DQ is a slam dunk on wii (DS or PSP would probably work fine too) and SE knows it.  Why don't you stick to the subject tres, you're dodging it quite aggressively.
