IDK, even if we get rid of the passion, having even snide remarks and subtle implications acts as the spark to more passionate and obvious flaming.
And I'm sure you, me, and all of us with our biases don't avoid those. Even the most calm members occasionally stealth fanboy. Acting unbiased, but adding a subtle remark. Expecting people not to bite the bait is just ignorant.
