No I don't want to rephrase my point. Arming the entire populace will only INCREASE the drunken accidental murders.
We're supposed to be armed to the extent that we can fend off occupying forces, not to the extent that all people are armed and a % of the population accidentally murders their children and we just shrug our shoulders and go "meh, 2nd amendment's more important than kids."
