Then we would be taking about a father who had repeatedly stabbed their child in the heat of the moment rather than shot him. Read the story. They were face to face. So close, in fact, that the boy tried to knock the gun away. At that range a knife is not significantly less deadly in the hands of one who intends to murder someone. This is not a story about gun violence. This is a tragic story of a family that has been shattered by the most horrific tragedy ever.
