All right, now this one is for Carl and Outlawauron both:

What would make these high-selling games (like Carnival Games) "trash"?

Because after playing it for 5 minutes i felt embarassed to actually be playing it. The novelty of it wears off in about 2 minutes.

Wii "minigames" are supposed to be fun. This isn't. My sister actually cried that she got this for her Birthday.

Therefore, imo it is trash.

But you acknowledge, of course, that it will not be trash for some of its players - many of whom may number it among their favorite games.

If anyone puts carnival games towards the top of the list of their favorite games they shouldn't be allowed to touch a video game controller ever again. Seriously go outside and play tennis, kickball, dodgeball, darts, etc that the Wii supposedly "recreates" with the motion controller. Its infinitely more fun to actually do it yourself plus you don't have to pay $50 to do it. The Wii sucks. My girlfriend is as casual as it gets and she thinks the Wii sucks. She's putting it up on Ebay in the next week or so. She does mysteriously like Gears of War but doesn't much like the other games I play on the 360.

People should play what they want and what they consider fun and worthwhile. Anything else is wrong.

Video games are supposed to be an extension of the imagination and fantasy. If you can convince me why I should play motion controlled versions of things I can do in real life for free then I will go buy a Wii after class today. Until then I'm convinced the Wii is a fad and gimmick that will be dying more and more as time passes. I'm not bashing Nintendo, I'm bashing what the Wii has become. I love the NES and SNES.
