stof said: According to this sites world wide hardware shipments, the Pal region is just, JUST behind NA in sales of PS2 and PSP. So I'd say it's about equal. They'll probably have a better launch there than NA not because of region tastes, but because of the wise delay. They'll be able to release the system in large quantities (1 million in the launch "window"), and actually launch it with some games worth getting. It's what they should have done World Wide. As for sales. It'll probably sell out immediately, with a large portion bought by scalpers, many of whom will have their asses handed to them when PS3's quickly become available on store shelves. It'll sell fairly well, but it won't do any of the crazy stuff people like Kwaad talk about.
Crazy stuff? I'm saying ~1.2 million PS3 in March. and ~500,000-600,000 in april. and then 300-400thousand after that. But at the end of march I'm expecting 4.5million more more PS3 worldwide. While Wii will be lucky to hit 6million sold. (I was thinking about this. The PS3 is flown to america. The PS3's for europe launch are ALREADY on the boat to get to europe... wait. How long does it take to get a boat to america from China? About 2 weeks. That means there are about 500,000 Wii's on a BOAT from china... to america. and possibly 500,000 to 750,000 on the way to europe. What does that mean. There are almost 1million Wii's sitting on a boat. Think about it. I never thought of that. How many Wii's are on a boat?
