All games of this genre have easy combo system. Fact that you can execute an effective combo with square, square, triangle, triangle doesn't mean it's wrong. Check GoW, NGS or DMC. Would you be more satisfied with combos a'la d, df, f, uf, u, triangle ub, b, db, d, square ?
