The PS2 also had like two or three times as many games as the Xbox and GC combined. That easily offsets the higher number of good games. It just goes to show how silly Carl's original point was. Most people don't mind if there are 1,000 bad games, if they have enough good games to choose from. So when comparing libraries of consoles it makes more sense to focus only on the good games instead of the libraries as a whole. Why bother with the irrelevant trash you won't play anyway? |
I agree with you there and contnue to add to it.
Sometimes a game we may consider to be trash may be somebody's else treasure. Most hardcore gamers have an elitist idea that only the games they like are good. But they forget the point of gaming, to have fun and the more fun the better the game to them.
I may have my gripe with the wii, but its not the games, I'd probabably enjoy them.
The PS2 had everything, and that's why its was so great, good or bad games. And to think of it, only the 360 has that kind of library right now.
