Uncharted 2 is a great game, so eventhough I feel it borrows far too heavily from DKC games, UC2 is still an extremely enjoyable and polished experienced. However I'm disappointed that Naughty Dog essentially took the DKC games, slapped on a new character, story an added dimension and called it a day.
Uc2 did this masterfully, becoming a great game in the process, but nevertheless fails to create an identity for itself. The whole time I felt like I was just playing a DKC game. On the flipside, with no real DK game since DK64 it's well appreciated to have a sort of spiritual succesor to that incredible franchise in the name of Uncharted. So I'm really not complaining. DKC is one of my top 5 games of all time.
But I don't feel that Naughty Dog has been honest about that as they had never mentioned drawing inspiration from the DK games. They put UC forth as an original franchise and that' where my problem is. If it is meant to be an original game then don't just slap on Drake in to a clone of the DK universe and gameplay. If it's meant to be a tribute to past DK games then be honest and open about it.
