I bought VC way before I got my PS3.
I also got Lunar 1/2 for Sega CD when I don't even have a Sega Mega Drive. Also Magical School Lunar for Saturn. Then theres Lunar: Dragon Song/Genesis. For Lunar: DS/Genesis, I just borrowed a DS and played it there, for the first 2, I ripped the ISO and played it on my PC.
And I used to buy a lot of PC games that didn't work on PC then, for example Warcraft 3.
