It IS the purpose of it. Having internet in a house is a given so unless you get the switch out in the middle of a cave using your laptops, chances are there is an internet ocnnection around. The purpose of a LAN is to reduce the pings as much as possible, there is a reason why ALL tournaments are done using LAN not the shitty internet. Also those 39 ping times are 30 ms more than my wireless LAN. |
No, that is not the purpose of it. Seriously, LANing in the way I was using it (form a gamers perspective) is connecting several computors together in order to play video games. I mean seriously, when you LAN with a bunch of friends at your house, do you all spend the entire time pinging eachother and drooling over your ping rates, or do you play games? Having good ping is a SIDE EFFECT of LANing, playing games is the PURPOSE of LANning, the two are very differant. You are just embarrasing yourself now, please, for your sake, stop.
