I've been to a lot of forums this year including sites that have hardcore 360 and PS3 fanboys, and during this time of year everyone is posting their "What To Get" lists of upcoming games. Among many of them I saw games like Uncharted 2, Ratchet, MW2, Halo ODST, L4D2, AC2 and surprisingly even the Saboteur frequently. However, Tekken 6 has rarely even popped up on anyone's radar and with launch just 5 days away I find it a little disheartening.

So what happened? Well in my honest opinion I think Namco announcing the game as a multiplat game has actually damaged the game's potential market. Tekken was always seen as Playstation's premiere Fighting Series and for the most part thats true. And when it was announced to be going multiplat (And the fact that Namco shelved the PS3 copy so they could work on the 360 copy) has literally sucked away all hype for this game.

Just my 2 cents, what do you guys say?

The only reason why I see multi-platform possibly hurting the buzz is that prevents the game from becoming ammo in the arsenal of exclusive titles for a platform.  Beyond this, all the characters are supposed to be unlocked.  Also, we are years away from the launch window, when a specific title release makes noise.  The fighting genre is also a bit tapped out now.  You can also factor in that Namco already released a fighting game for the platforms this generation.
