Choosing to shorten ones lifespan isn't the same as outright choosing to die for a paycheck.

Hell people choose to shorten their lifespans every day for much less payoff then 20+ grand.

Hell, most people pay other people to shorten their lifespans.

20k+ was not quite the range I was thinking of. In that case I have fewer objections. In the end they would probably still end up poor though. Capitalism requires there be a lower class. The question is whether the quality of life of the lowest class is improved enough to make up for the increased health risks associated with the organ harvest.
