Yeah there is a reason on why the Wii is in first place.  Wii launch price $250 PS3 launch price $500 - $600.

A low price didn't help the GameCube. Or the Xbox 360 Arcade when it was cheaper than a Wii.

You didn't mention anything about when the PS3 dropped to $300 and it was outselling the Wii.  That's when Nintendo had to drop the price of the Wii, so yes price is everything.

This is one hundred percent absolutely freaking ridiculous. The price was not everything for the few weeks where the PS3 outsold the Wii - did you forget that it was a hardware revision that helped to spur those sales?

Your oversimplification is so extreme that it reeks of intentional intellectual dishonesty.

The Wii was averaging like 180,000 sales weekly before the $50 dollar price drop that helped push it to 300,000+ and on top over the PS3.  There was no hardware revision there just a price drop.

Are seriously going to argue that price is the only factor between the Wii and PS3.  You mean the release of some big software releases in September and October had nothing to do with the PS3 sustaining good sales numbers.  So the other thing about price, is this the first generation of consoles where this price point has been the deciding factor?  Looking back at history, the cheapest console has not always been the most succesful.  So I would suggest thinking out the rational behind your statements before presenting faulty arguments.

But your not looking at the big picture.  The economy was excellent back then.  Take a look at it now.  People hardly have any money nowadays of course people are going for the cheaper products now.  Anyway this was a discussion between me and Khuutra and it was settled.  Then you barge in a day late and bring it up again.
