The most hilarious thing about this to me, is that Selnor posted this article as some pseudo shot at the PS3, Sony or a defense of Microsoft for not including Blu-Ray in some way.
With that being said, ofcourse Digital Distribution will be on the rise (To a point). So will Blu-Ray.
Sony included the ability for Digital Distribution and Blu-Ray movies on their PS3, which effectively is the 'enitre' market. Microsoft did not. So it's just Selnor being foolish yet again.
Blu-Ray well become the next 'DVD' with probably a somewhat smaller marketshare when it's all said and done.
Another thing that needs noted, Digital Distribution is great for 'rentals' but not so much for ownership at this point in time.
